For years, Victor maize millers stood as a quiet pillar of Kagio town. A mill that fed homes, supported livelihoods and made maize flour a little more accessible for the people of Kagio and its surrounding areas. Then one day, it was gone.

The once busy mill, known for its steady hum of machinery and steady supply of maize flour closed its doors in 2019 without warning, without explanation and without a goodbye.

To date, no official reason has been given for the closure. There were no public notices and no word from the owner. Some believe the shutdown was due to financial challenges.
